I completed this prop design as part of the Intro to Concept Art course at Syn Studio, which involved the creation of a prop for an imagined video game. "Lands Beyond" is a futuristic universe where humans have begun travelling through space and establishing colonies on faraway planets. This scanner is a prop design for this universe. The scanner, created by Space Exploration conglomerate "Horizon", is used to scan materials to determine their composition and usability as building materials for shelter, ingredients for medication, energy sources, and more.
